Members of Braemar Royal Highland Society featured prominently in the celebrations to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday.
Society officials spent the week at Windsor Castle taking part in performances to celebrate the milestone, culminating in the live broadcast on Sunday evening.
The Queen is patron of the Braemar Gathering and the gathering’s standard played a central role in the performance which was attended by the monarch, Prince Philip and other members of the Royal family.
Society president David Geddes said “Her Majesty has been a great supporter and patron of our games, regularly attending the Braemar Gathering throughout her long reign and life.
“It is a great honour for us to be asked to take part in this celebration and to provide the focus for part of the performance.”
The gathering will take place this year on September 3.
