Following a survey of Aboyne residents in 2010 and the publication of a Community Action Plan last year, steady progress has been made by Mid Deeside Community Council in implementing the suggestions it received.
The Community Council has now turned its attention to see what can be done to improve the historic Station Square.
Community councillor David Allan said: “Many of the respondents highlighted the need to make the square more of a focal point for visitors and local shoppers and as a first step we asked those who have a business in and around the square for their views.
We received some very helpful and constructive comments but we would also like to hear from the wider community who can either contact the council at www.middeeside.org or use the Aboyne Community Blog at www.Aboyne.org.
“We really would like to hear what they have to say on this issue.”
