The Deeside & Donside Piper and Herald are glad to welcome two new reporters to take control of the paper.
Martyn Simpson, who joins from sister publication The Buchan Observer in Peterhead, and Christopher Bradley, who recently graduated from RGU’s postgraduate Journalism course, are both delighted to be working in their new roles.
For the time being, both reporters can be contacted at The Mearns Leader office in Stonehaven on 01569 762859.
The pair aim to move into the Banchory office and set up there in the near future.
Martyn, who currently lives in Aberdeen and is an avid sports fan, said: “I’m really looking forward to a new challenge after leaving the papers in Peterhead and Fraserburgh. Royal Deeside is a beautiful part of the world and a fantastic place to work.”
Christopher, who also lives in Aberdeen but is originally from Leicester, said: “I’m thrilled to take over the Deeside patch - it’s a beautiful bit of country and I hope to serve it well.”
Both reporters have expressed their eagerness to get out in the community so please feel free to stop them and say hello if you happen to pass either one in the streets.
You can contact either reporter directly by emailing them at firstname.lastname@example.org, or email@example.com.
The Piper and Herald would also like to take the opportunity to wish previous colleagues Andy Douglas and Anna Dove all the best in their new jobs and all future endeavours.
We would also like to thank readers for their patience during this time of transition as our new reporters get settled in.
