Durris Kirkton Hall Committee hosted a Family Fun Day on Saturday, in partnership with hall user groups and the local community.
The day’s event kicked off at 10.30am with Friends of Durris Forests Enchanted Woodland Trail.
From 11am there was a diverse range of outdoor family activities and stalls to suit all age groups supported by RDA, Durris Primary School, Young Farmers, Rifle Club, Scottish Conservatives and Gillian Adams.
Indoors, the WRI and RDA put on a lovely morning and afternoon tea and visitors had the opportunity to try their hand at indoor bowls and view a wonderful display of old community photographs which was arranged by Drumoak & Durris Church.
Upstairs, local freelance photographer Aimee Holtom had a display of her photographic work and Messy Church entertained local children with fun crafty activities.
In the afternoon, the guests were entertained by local musicians from the Accordion Group, Albacappella and the Youth Industries.
Gillian Edward, hall secretary, said: “It’s been a fantastic day and we are delighted with the turnout from the local community.
‘‘On behalf of the Durris Kirkton Hall Committee we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the hall users for taking part in this event, and everyone who came along and participated in the activities.
The hall raised £500, the RDA £385, and WRI £170.
