Local MSP, Dennis Robertson, visited Strachan to congratulate pupils and staff at the school on their new outdoor play area and eco-garden.
At the heart of the Strachan community, the school is working hard to provide the best for the young people.
The Big Lottery Fund awarded £7,500 last year, allowing the school’s pupil eco committee to lead the installation of new play equipment in the existing playground.
Dennis Robertson MSP said: “The pupils at Strachan School gave Mr Q and I a very warm welcome and I was very impressed with the quality of teaching at the school with the new outdoor play area and the eco-garden, a secret garden at the back of the school.
“Last September, I asked the Scottish Parliament to congratulate Strachan Primary School on receiving one of the Big Lottery Fund’s Awards. To get the funding was a big achievement and the pupils are now making the best out of the new equipment.
“I was delighted to hear about the older pupils’ activities leading to Easter, to answer a few questions from the younger ones and to meet the chickens in the garden.”
