Billy Ocean has been announced as the second headline act for Linlithgow’s Party at the Palace.
The full line-up for the two day festival has been released today and the Caribbean Queen singer is topping the bill on the Sunday night.
He is excited to be playing north of the border again and is promising a great show. Billy said: “I am looking forward to coming to the Party at the Palace. Bring your dancing shoes and be ready to sing along to all my hits. It’s always great fun in Scotland!”
The full line up for Party at the Palace is, on Saturday August 13, The Proclaimers, The Fratellis, Bootleg Beatles, Colonel Mustard and the Dijon 5, Declan Welsh, Lucia Fontaine, The Luci Bains Band, Saskia Eng, Gavin Blackie, Katy Doyle, Sara Swati and Gun.
The Sunday line-up includes, Billy Ocean, Andy Bell, The Farm, Heaven 17, Big Country, Dirty Harry, Ashton Lane, Apache Darling, The Begbies, Altinak, Katee Kross, 100 Fables and Scarlet Baxter.
One of the events producers, John Richardson said: “At the end of our first year we thought how are we going to top that line up and then last year we brought more great bands to play here and we asked the same question.
“It’s never easy for independent festivals to compete with the big boys so to secure the calibre of acts we have for this year is absolutely fantastic and the feedback we’ve received already has been amazing. August can’t come soon enough!”
Party at the Palace will also be shifting slightly this year so a second stage can be introduced and used to its full capacity. Tickets for the festival are on sale now.
