A Banchory student has joined others from Robert Gordon’s College in Aberdeen to undertake a fundraising cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats.
Matthew Duff pedalled his way along the route last month in aid of ‘Cash for Kids’ and ‘Building Schools for Africa’ charities.
Leaving the south-westerly tip of England on June 5, ythe team, consisting of seven fifth year pupils with two teachers, covered over 900 miles and climbed more than 40,000ft, cycling through Shrewsbury, Preston, Carlisle towards Inverness and completing their tour on June 16 at John O’Groats.
Matthew said: “Highlights were the views and people we met through the journey. I enjoyed the challlenge and would like to do another.”
