Changes made to Aberdeenshire polling places
Aberdeenshire Council has announced a number of changes to polling places across the region ahead of the Scottish Parliamentary Election on May 6.
Councillors will be asked to note the changes at a meeting of Full Council on Wednesday this week.
The polling district and replacement polling place are:
Myrus/Macduff – Buchan Street Hall, Macduff.
Longside East – Rathen Public Hall.
Lonmay – Roads Community Cafe, St Combs.
Peterhead Central – Territorial Army Centre.
Longside – St John’s Church.
Ellon Town – Victoria Hall.
Inverurie West and East – Garioch Indoor Bowling Club.
Insch – Bennachie Leisure Centre.
Echt – Echt Parish Church.
Cairnie and Glass – Cairney School.
Huntly – Linden Centre.
Alford – Alford Ski Centre.
All other existing polling places used in other polling areas across the region will remain.
A number of schools will also be used.
However the council’s Election Team has said it is a “priority” to remove them in the future and replace them with alternative venues.
