Stuart Donaldson has been selected as the SNP candidate for West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine at May’s general election.
The local party activist was officially declared as candidate on February 4 following a ballot of SNP members across the constituency.
Mr Donaldson came to prominence as an effective campaign coordinator for Yes Scotland in Aberdeenshire last year.
Stuart said: “I’m delighted and extremely privileged to be nominated as the candidate for West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine for the SNP.
“Now the real work starts, and I can’t wait to get out there and start campaigning on behalf of communities across the constituency.
“Every vote for the SNP is a vote for more powers for Scotland and, if elected in May, I will work hard to deliver both that and the representation in parliament that the people of West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine deserve.”
Dennis Robertson MSP for Aberdeenshire West said: Stuart demonstrated his commitment to Aberdeenshire and to Scotland during the Referendum Campaign in his role as organiser for Yes Aberdeenshire.
“I am thrilled that Stuart is our candidate and I am very much looking forward to working with him in the run up to the General Election.”
