
We’re receiving reports of a large number of roads that are flooded and impassable, or only driveable with extreme caution.
Police advised motorists to drive with care in the area.
The Met Office warning says that heavy rain will continue through Thursday morning, leading to further accumulations of 0.6in (15mm) for north-east Scotland with a few places perhaps seeing a further 1.2in-1.6in (30mm-40mm).

Roads affected that we know of so far are:
A90 at Toll of Birness and Ellon bypass (blocked at Ellon bypass)
A92 near the B&Q roundabout
A944 Straik Road Elrick (flooding beyond Tesco roundabout)
A947 between Oldmeldrum & Dyce (blocked at Newmachar / Kingseat junction)
B1905 between Turriff & A98 junction
B9170 between Oldmeldrum & Inverurie (blocked at Hoodles)
B9005 between Methlick & Ellon (just passable)
B999 between Tarves and Aberdeen (just passable)
A96 Great Northern Road at St Machar Drive (surface water)
A948 passing Brewdog is flooded, take care here as the flood is hidden until the last minute.
Coast road from Torry to Altens is badly flooded at the rail bridge before Doonies Farm heading south.
B997 between Bridge of Don and Parkhill Junction. Some places are passable staying to the middle of the road.
