Cults’ very own Miss Aberdeen Platinum finalist, Shelby-Leigh Kennedy, has been out raising awareness and funds for Scotland’s Health Charity, Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS).
Shelby has been gaining the support of many businesses including International SOS who have been raising funds for CHSS including a recent quiz night raising a substantial amount of money.
But Shelby hasn’t stopped there and has been placing collecting cans in every business she can and collecting funds and shop donations around Aberdeen.
Shelby chose to support CHSS as she has seen the effects of these conditions in family members. She has enjoyed getting out in to the community to raise awareness.
“It has been an amazing few weeks and a little bit of a whirlwind. I am delighted to be able to support the charity in this special way, knowing the amazing services they provide across Scotland and in the heart of North East community of Aberdeen.
“I am so happy with the progress made so far and incredibly thankful to everyone who is very kindly lending a hand. I look forward to continuing!”
The Miss Aberdeen Platinum finals take place on Saturday, May 14 at the Copthorne Hotel in Aberdeen.
Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland fundraising officer, Katie praised Shelby’s efforts: “In just a few short weeks she has raised an impressive amount of funds as well as awareness for our mission and the services that operate in the heart of Grampian.”
