Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) are celebrating after their boutique shop in Cults won a top award.
The Cults Boutique picked up the ‘Shop Team of the Year’ accolade at the UK-wide Charity Retail Association Awards held in Keele University earlier this week .
The boutique saw off stiff competition from both the main nominations and the eventual shortlist of three shops, all of whom were judged by a panel of experts from the sector.
Cults shop manager Yvette said: “We are so thrilled to have won this award.
“It’s such an honour to be recognised especially across the whole of the UK. The staff, volunteers and customers are at the heart of this award and I’d like to thank them all for their hard work and loyalty to the shop.
“We have always had a great relationship with the local people in Cults and we have thoroughly enjoyed the last four years trading in the town.
“We never lose sight of the fact that all the money raised in CHSS shops supports people living with chest, heart and stroke illness across Scotland.”
Jay Hogarty, director of retail, added: “This award acknowledges the hard work the Cults team have put in to delivering not only exceptional profitability, but also in making their shop central to the community.”
Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland volunteers help to improve the quality of life for people in the country who affected by chest, heart and stroke illness through medical research, influencing public policy, advice and information and support in the community.
