A stray love bird found in Peterhead has been taken to the SSPCA’s rescue and rehoming centre at Drumoak.
The animal welfare charity was contacted by a resident of Landale Road in Peterhead who spotted the bird on July 23. Now named Keith, the lonesome love bird is being cared for by the SSPCA.
Centre assistant manager Debbie Innes said, “Love birds tend to live in pairs and they become very bonded, so we’re worried there might be another love bird somewhere missing Keith.”
“With the recent hot weather, it’s possible he’s managed to escape from home through an open door or window.
Anyone who recognises Keith is being asked to call the SSPCA.
