Children from Cross Roads Nursery, Durris, enjoyed a day in the sun on Thursday April 9 for the opening of Crathes Castle’s new play park.
Bunting and bright spring daffodils adorned the new family area of the café, with the official ribbon cutting taking place at 11am.
The children enjoyed some cake to mark the occasion before exploring the new play equipment.
The play park was one of the final projects managed by Crathes Castle’s former property manager, Gareth Clingan, before his promotion to General Manager of North West National Trust for Scotland properties earlier this year.
Over the Easter weekend, hundreds of children tried out the new slides, tyre swing, climbing castle, and springy bumble bee.
A spokesperson for the National Trust for Scotland said: “With the café’s new family seating area looking straight out on to the play park, we’re confident this will provide families with hours of enjoyment this spring and summer in a fun and safe environment.”
