Applications for the Elevator Awards 2015 closed last Friday March 13 and as you’ll see from the rest of the paper, Deeside is well represented.
In Banchory, retro/vintage furniture, clothing and miscellany boutique Dee-vine Living made the shortlist.
Alexandra Innes, owner of the trendy Station road store said: “It’s great to be nominated. When I started this business I was quite nervous it would be a failure. Thankfully I think the store filled a niche that the town was missing...it is mostly young people who browse through the shop and they tend to be into the revival of old but useful and beautiful things.”
A spokesperson for the Elevator awards said: “We’d like to thank each of you who took the time to complete an application and we hope you found it a worthwhile experience to reflect on the recent successes of your business.
“Our judges noted the high calibre of applicants who entered though unfortunately we can’t award everyone!”
