Tractors, ploughing demonstrations and horses will all be displayed at the ninth annual BA Vintage Working Weekend.
It takes place at BA Stores, Lyne of Skene, near Dunecht, from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday (May 19 and 20) and donations will go to local charities.
Amongst the line-up are 340 tractors, ploughing demonstrations with modern, vintage and steam driven tractors and Clydesdale horses; a tractor road run (Sunday); threshing mill and saw bench; classic and vintage cars and commercial vehicles, stationary engines, models and bygone displays; military encampment,
musical entertainment with the Ythan Fiddlers (Saturday) and Kintore Pipe Band; a dinosaur dig; panning for gold; krazy kitchen; farmyard stands, refreshments, carnival rides, junior quad bikes and a working sheepdog demonstration.
New for this year is a demonstration of Bronze-age ploughing with an ‘Ard’, bronze casting, tractor super sledge to European standard with the Scottish Tractor Pullers Club and dowsing – find a tractor’s steering wheel and win a prize.
Admission is £7 for adults, £5 children and concessions and £20 for families.
