Two in hospital after Deeside crash

A man has been left with “life-threatening” injuries following a horrific two-car crash on Deeside.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision on the South Deeside Road at approximately 10pm on Tuesday February 17.

The crash, which happened about 200 metres west of the Deeside Holiday Park, involved Ford Ka, which has caught fire as a result of the collision and was completely burnt out and a blue Ford Fiesta.

The woman was trapped in the Fiesta and firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to safely release her. She received treatment from paramedics at the scene.

The 19-year-old male driver of the Ford Ka and the 22-year-old driver of the Ford Fiesta were both taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries. There were no other occupants in either of the vehicles.

Police Scotland are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or seen the vehicles prior to the collision taking place.
