Walkers leave park in crisp condition

Two wardens at the Queen Elizabeth Caravan Park will be departing after almost three years of service to the Stonehaven site.

Maggie and Richard Walker are moving on, and next season they will be in charge at Direlton, near North Berwick.

During their time in Stonehaven the pair have worked hard from the very beginning to make Stonehaven’s iconic caravan park one of the best in the Caravan Club’s extensive portfolio.

David Fleming, the Stonehaven Town Partnership (STP) Trustee responsible for the Park, said: “Maggie and Peter always had a cheerful smile, and nothing was ever too much bother for them.

“They certainly operated at ABCD level – ‘Above and Beyond the Call of Duty’.

“We would like to wish them both all the very best in their new posting.”

Their place over the winter months is set to be taken up by Brent and Ann Eggo.

David added: “Brent and Ann have been relief wardens in Stonehaven before and we are looking forward to welcoming Dominic and Sharon Van denbos, who will be taking over for the new season which will be starting in March 2016.”
