The Deeside Orchestra will be providing two fantastic nights of entertainment to beat the post-Christmas blues with their popular Viennese Evenings on January 13 and 14, at the Victory Hall, Aboyne.

The Viennese Evenings have become a regular feature in the cold and dark of January each year. The concerts are in the style of the famous Vienna New Year Concerts and Ball.

This year’s line up features soprano Moira Docherty and tenor Craig Downes, accompanied by Tara Leiper, as well as dancing displays by the Pam Dignan Dancers. Ceilidh entertainment will be provided at the interval by the Andy Linklater Trio.

People are encouraged to dress up in their finest eveningwear and dance the night away to music provided by the orchestra, including waltzes, polkas and marches. Those attending should take along their own supper to dine with family and friends at their table, whilst the orchestra and soloists provide the entertainment.

Saturday night is a sellout, however, there are still some tickets available for Friday evening, priced at £14 for adults and £8 for U16s. Admission is by ticket only.
