Due to the huge success of last year’s event, the numbers of participants had doubled. The club welcomed gymnasts from Banchory Gymnastics club, Tyock GC, Balmoor GC, Inverurie GSC, Beacon GC and Dundee GC2K.
With over 190 gymnasts taking part it was going to be a busy day and with a huge crowd of spectators the Garioch community centre was filled with excitement.
This event stands out in the competition calendar as we have introduced the Advanced level allowing the gymnasts the use of the tumble track to demonstrate their somersaults and flips.
Banchory winners from the Glitterball: 12+ beginners - Gold Lucy Irvine, Silver Emma Strachan, Bronze Grace Brundrett. In the team Banchory also took Gold.
12+ Intermediate: Gold Laura Smith, Silver Kate Strachan. Banchory also took Gold in the team event.
The team championships were also awarded to Banchory.
