Seven gymnasts, two coaches and two judges from Garioch Gymnastics club recently travelled with their families to Belgium to take part in an international gymnastics competition.
For some of these girls this was their first taste of an international gymnastics competition.
Garioch is the first and only club from Scotland to have taken part in this event and the gymnasts competed against clubs from Holland, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg and of course Belgium.
In addition to the competition there was also an opportunity to train and a farewell Banquet all of which were tremendous opportunities for the gymnasts, coaches and judges to get to know each other better.
At the competition there were several invites for the Garioch club to visit other clubs for training and friendly competitions.
It was a very tiring weekend but the girls performed tremendously well to claim a team bronze in Category 2.
The team were the highest scoring team on both Beam and Floor and Izzy Tolometti from Alford also won a silver medal for her floor routine.
The club said they would like to thank all for their kind donations and effort which made the trip possible.
