Culter failed to pick up their second piece of silverware in a space of a week after losing to East Region champions Jeanfield Swifts at Heathryfold Park last Saturday.
The Perthshire side’s captain John Anderson was the difference between the two teams are he grabbed himself a hat trick.
Culter, playing in their first ever Inter Regional final, had a great chance after only 2 minutes when Jamie McAllister latched on to Youngson’s clever flick but Mitchell was quick off his line to deny the in form striker.
The ball was cleared straight up the park and Mackie beat the offside trap only to see his low drive hit the post.
Anderson then muscled his way though the Culter defence only to blast the ball over.
Jamie McAllister’s though ball found Youngson but his low shot from 18 yards went straight into Mitchells arms.
Holt then latched on to Andersons flick only to see his shot rebound off the post.
But in the 39th minute the deadlock was broken when Holt’s deep cross found John ANDERSON at the back post to head home.
Straight from the kick off a big punt down the park found Jamie McAllister whose shot produced another fine save from Mitchell.
A corner in the 42nd minute crossed by Holt found the towering unmarked John ANDERSON who thumped home his header for 2-0 and left Culter with a mountain to climb as they headed into the break.
Early in the second half Farquhar saved with his feet to deny Gavin Anderson and seconds later Holden shot wide, while at the other end McBain headed Robertson’s cross narrowly wide of the post.
John ANDERSON lobbed Culter keeper John Farquhar midway through the second half to complete his hat-trick to all but seal the game for Jeanfield.
However Culter kept up the pressure as Mountford drilled a 20 yard effort inches wide and seconds later Jamie McAllister showed great skill before his angled shot bounced back off the crossbar.
McAllister and Kelly both headed over before Culter had great claims for a penalty when Mitchell wiped out McBain just inside the box but the referee was having none of it.
Jamie McAllister shot wide just as the whistle blew to send the GA Engineering Inter Regional Trophy south.
It was left to captain John Anderson to lift the trophy and the man of the match award.
