RAEMOIR TROUT FISHERY
WITH water temperatures rising, fish are taking flies fished a bit quicker. Minkies cats whisker, yellow dancer and white fritz are all worth a cast.
The Adult Club Members held their annual championship in which local angler Gary Marshall triumphed with a bag of 16lb 4oz.
Another Banchory man, Kenny McGuire, was runner up with 11lbs 4oz.
An evening competition was held in memory of fishery owner John Wallace using mainly dries and buzzers.
Eric Duncan collected the trophy, releasing 12 fish, while Gary Marshall had to settle for second with nine fish and Keith Crockett third with eight returned.
Derek McEnzie of Peterhead had his first outing of the year and returned home £50 better off having landed a tagged fish.
George Rankin of Aberdeen was top of the pops, having returned 23 over two visits on lures, Charlie Fraser also on lures released 13 as did Paul Sharp.
Gary Craig of Stoney released eight on okydoky, Hector Connell of Bervie released 13 on buzzers and Mr Scott tempted nine on white buzzers.
