Seven members of Banchory Trampoline and DMT Club recently travelled to Birmingham to compete for Scotland in the Regional team finals for trampoline and double mini trampoline.
These youngsters had previously taken part in qualifying events in Scotland and were selected as the highest placed competitors in their age group and ability level.
The competition took place in the Barclaycard arena, formerly the NIA, and this was a wonderful, if slightly daunting, experience for them all.
As a team event, Scotland was competing against the 13 other regions of Great Britain and did absolutely brilliantly winning the double mini team event and coming second in the trampoline event.
Banchory trampoline and DMT club also had officials selected for this event – international judge, John Wills was selected as judge for Scotland and Melanie Stewart Wills was lead DMT coach for this event.
Pamela Clarke, was selected as team manager.
This competition acts as a qualifier for the NDP finals 8th- 10th July and 6 club members will travel to Telford International Arena for this competition.
Success for Banchory does not stop there as fellow club members, Kim Beattie and Morgan James will compete in the elite category British Championships for Double mini trampoline the previous weekend, in the Echo Arena Liverpool.
The club wishes all members the very best of luck.
