Around 600 runners will get under starters orders at Crathes Castle on Saturday (September 15) for its second ever half marathon.
The 13 mile course is fast and flat on good quality roads and tracks, so it should be a speedy one.
Last year’s winner Robbie Simpson completed the course in an impressive 1 hour 11 minutes.
The event is sponsored by international oil company Aker Solutions, and about 30 staff members will be taking part.
This year there is also a junior race for runners aged between 12 and 15 years old – there are still a few places available, visit www.nts.org.uk/events for booking information.
Meanwhile, for supporters and spectators, the Crathes Games provide the perfect opportunity to try your hand at some traditional - and some less traditional- Highland Games events.
The junior run starts at 11am, the main race at 12 noon.
Prizegiving is at 2.30pm
