Saturday’s BT Caledonia League Division 2 North match between Lochaber and Deeside at Fort William was called off due to a water logged pitch.
Three Caley 2 matches did go ahead at the weekend including second place Garioch’s home tie against Kinloss Eagles.
The Inverurie side secured a bonus point win at Kellands Park as they won the match 34-9.
The result means that Deeside’s lead at the top of the table has been cut to six points with the top two sides both having played the same number of games.
Third places Ross Sutherland lost 8-12 at home to Aberdeen Wanderers, effectively ruling them out of the title race.
There is no fixture for Deeside this weekend but Garioch will have the chance to close in on the leaders even further when they host seventh place Stornoway.
A bonus point win would take them to within just one point of Deeside although they will have played on game more.
Deeside will next be in action on March 5 when the welcome Moray to Woodend.
