Aboyne’s Mark Able returned from the Invictus Games in London all ready for a new challenge.
The army veteran is now planning on undertaking a charity sky-dive in aid of Blind Veterans UK.
Mark said: “The Invictus Games was truly brilliant such an emotional, exciting and inspirational international event.
“There were some terrific athletes and every athlete did themselves and their countries really proud with a wonderful show of bravery and courage once more.
“Although I didn’t make the swimming finals I did manage to set two personal bests.
“I am now taking on a slightly different challenge, a sponsored tandem sky dive from 15,000ft on June 26, raising Awareness and money for Blind Veterans UK - a charity that is close to my heart as without their free help and support I am not sure I would have been here today.”
