Missed chances and some good goalkeeping from the home keeper made Culter wait until the final seconds to claim all three points and overcome a stubborn Forres defence.
Culter attacked from the off with McKimmie’s first time 20 yard shot from a McWillaim pass being well saved by Brebner then Wilson sent a 30 yard free kick just wide of the upright seconds later.
A great move down the left saw Wilson feed Stott whose low cross was dummied by McWilliam and the ball fell perfectly for McKimmie, but the striker’s weak shot was easily saved.
On 10 minutes Fraser of Forres found himself in space and his low drive beat Farquhar but Kelly was on hand to clear the ball off the line.
On 19 minutes Culter took the lead that their play deserved. Youngson passed to Andrew SIM who waltzed his way past half the home team and his wind assisted cross could only be helped the net by the home keeper.
As half time approached Stott squared to Wilson whose thunderous shot shook the crossbar and to safety.
Forres levelled on 49 minutes. HENDERSON turned his marker and sent a low drive past Farquhar from the edge of the box.
Culter went straight back into attack with McAllister and Seivwright both heading over, then McKimmie blasted over from 8 yards after great work from Youngson. Youngson then saw his low shot palmed away by Brebner before Stott sent crashed a volley off the crossbar with Mountford sending the rebound just wide.
Mountford placed the ball just wide from 12 yards and then Wilson forced the keeper into another save from 25 yards.
With everyone waiting for the referee to blow, Stott went charging down the wing one last time and squared the ball along the edge of the box. Youngson stepped over the ball and Chris MOUNTFORD sent a low drive past the home keeper in the 95th minute much to the relief of the away bench.
