Finzean swimmer Kerry Buchan is already preparing for next spring’s Olympic trials having just returned from a two week training camp in Tenerife.
Kerry, who moved from Edinburgh to Stirling earlier this year, is hoping she will see the results of her tough training when she races next week.
“The training was really tough,” she said. “But it always makes it that bit easier when you are training with the sun on your back. I am still getting used to being back in the cold Scottish weather.
“My next competition is next weekend down in Somerset, England at the Plymouth swim team open meet.
“Hopefully the warm weather training camp has given me a little boost to swim fast into the meet.”
Kerry says she be will only be taking a few days off for Christmas before she sets off on her travels again.
She said: “On the 7th of January we fly out to Singapore for a three week training camp.
“I’m really looking forward to going to Singapore and getting some more good training done in preparation for the Olympic trials in March.”
