Aberdeenshire tennis champion Alan Ross has been on top form of late, winning three tournaments in less than two months.
The 21-year-old Banchory LTC player won the Men’s Singles final of the Rubislaw North East Confined Tournament 2012 on Saturday 16th June. Despite being seeded second, Ross beat Rubislaw’s top-seeded Rob Ainsley 6-1, 6-3.
As well as being victorious at a tournament in the Midlands earlier this year, he also won the Men’s Singles at the Tayside Open in St Andrew’s on Sunday 13th May, even though he was seeded fourth.
Ross said: “I’m delighted with my recent results and pleased with my play leading up to the Nairn tournament later this year which I’m confident about.”
The Nairn Open will take place on the week of July 14th and, having won the Men’s Singles there for the past two years, a hat-trick would further cement Ross’ position as one of the area’s top players of all time.
