Deeside residents are reminded that the Aboyne Fireworks Spectacular is planned for this Saturday night, November 8, on the Green.
The display will get off to an explosive start with the lighting of the bonfire at 6pm, followed by fireworks for around 20 minutes at around 7.
Miles Newman, chairman of the Aboyne Bonfire Co-operative, said: “This year, we hope that the display and event will be even better.
“The hotdog and burger stand will be run by the Rotary Club and glow sticks will be run by the Aboyne Games Youth Forum. We are really grateful to these two groups and also to Mid-Deeside Limited who have provided valuable support.”
Stalls will open this year from about 5pm.
Mr Newman added: “We would welcome any members of the public or local businesses with any spare timber to come to Aboyne Green to drop it off between 10am and 4pm on the day of the event. We will have a team of volunteers rattling the buckets to cover the costs as we do not receive funding from the council for this event. I would be very grateful if any folk want to help marshal on the night or help with the set-up for a short while during the day to contact me on my email, miles @reachexploration.co.uk.”
