The Gordon Highlanders Museum in Aberdeen is hosting a family fun day today (Saturday) from 10am until 4.30pm.
Last year’s Bydand the 200 years was highly successful and the event gives visitors the chance to learn about the history of the regiment.
On display will be a number of old military vehicles, including a rare bren gun carrier and a 5/7th Gordon Highlanders jeep.
The day’s programme will also include a mini children’s obstacle training course and a period photo booth with costumes where people can dress up as a soldier or a nurse.
Tickets for the fun day are £10 for adults, children £5, and £25 for a family of two adults and up to three children.
