A singing group which rehearses every Wednesday in St Peter’s Heritage Hall, Culter, is offering a free ‘Return to Singing’ course in next month, open to female singers.

‘Albacappella’ call themselves “a group of women who love to sing”, singing a mixture of contemporary songs and modern favourites in four-part harmony led by conductor Mike Warner, a national gold medallist, voice coach and singing contest judge.

The free four-week course will teach the basics of singing four-part harmony.

A spokeswoman said: “We will teach you the basics of singing four-part harmony while you learn a fabulous song. All you need is the ability to hold a tune and sing a note when you hear it - simple!” There may also be the chance to perform at a show.

The free course will be held on four consecutive Wednesdays from September 3 to 24 between 7:15pm - 8:45pm. Culter’s Heritage Hall is situated beside St Peter’s Heritage Museum down Station Road East, just across the Deeside Way and with plenty of car parking space.
